Who is asking, it's not getting lost

Designer: Julie Blue & Madeline Ashton / Photo: Melanie Klippe Fotodesign / Model: Sophie Marretta/ MUA: Artmission (Agata Karaś mission)

When I met Melanie, I didn't know to the end what to expect. I knew more or less what kind of makeup both Designers wanted, how it looks like model, but I didn't get to much info about location and clothes. It wasn't a problem, as always I was so exited to take part in cool project that I didn't think how it could look like. When I finally met Julie, Madeline, Melanie and Sophie I realised that we will make really awesome job together.
I love when people who worked in one group they send positive energy and share ideas that they could build awesome final result.
I remember that when we got outside to make final few shots on the street, we were standing really close to hairdresser where it was few customers. After some time I realise that someone is starring at us. It was maybe 4 years old girl, she hold her mom hand and she asked "Mom what they are doing...!?" she was so hypnotized by Sophie look and how Melanie with passion holded camera, that her mom had problems for good 15 minutes to force her to go :) For that kind of moments it's worth it to work - when you know that someone could admire your- team work!

I don't know if I emphasize enough, how much I love to work with clothes designers.
I admire not only hard work that they are putting in creating amazing clothes, but really often they are so kind and easy going. When I found Marie add on facebook that she is looking for makeup artist,
I wasn't sure if she already found someone. Happily she still needed someone.
When we met, I had a huge stress that a German will make a huge problems for us - I understand a lot but when young people from Berlin starts to talk in their slang...-well I will just said that my "Deutschkurs" lessons didn't though about everything..especially about Chapter: "Slang in the city"
and it's hard for foreign person to send positive, energetic vibes when you don't have enough words in your head - but Marie she was so kind that even if at that day I wasn't talk to good, I didn't felt bad! God bless for Deniese who has energy for 5, that she send that energy to all of us! ;)

Lucky Star

Photo: Kameleon Photography, Models: Selale, Amelie S, Lusia Weißflog, Designers: Laura Bulla, Sandra Scheer, Mua: Artmission& Julian D.

For a long time I had admire misterious Kameleon work. One day, I had a courage to send her a small note that if in the future she would like to work with me, it will be amazing experience.
And I wasn't wrong. First suprise was, to find out that Kasia comes from Poland... Second suprise was that after few months she got back to me, and offer quite interesting idea for photo shoot- but as always the final result blow my mind!
I had a chance to work with Kasia 3 times, and I hope that before I will leave Berlin I will have chance to make another project with her!
Blackout - simple catchy and with taste, All girls: Selale, Amelie and Luisa did something incredible, they listen to their instinct and meet in the same spot, I can not describe how much emotion they put in to this shoot and I'm happy I had chance to observe that! It was also nice to work with another makeup artist, we create a team, discuss who is preparing hair, makeup etc. That kind of experience, and days you celebrate for many weeks, months or even years - I always emphasize how important for me it's to meet all those interesting people - but when, though your language borders ( my german is not so perfect :p ) you can feel as part of one brain, team...it's building your confidence!

Natasha contact with me by accident, she saw my work, asked if I could help her to make this photo shoot. I was really happy, because despite her young age - she is making really great photos.

For this Project we found amazing model Alexandra, on my page you could see other shots with her, here on this post I put on of those which we did with Natasha :) It was crazy day, in the begining we knew we don't have to much time because our model had only 2,5 hour to be with us, later she needed run to her work place! In the end when we knew we did all we could at that time, Nina (stylist) figured out amazing Idea...why we could not stay longer and those clothes that we didn't had enough time to capture with Alexandra, we could try to

do it on our amazing Photographer ;) It was a chalange I need to say- it's not easy for one person to pose and try to capture the best shot! ;p;) But it gave us so much fun - and in the end I need to say we did pretty good job! <3

Powder

It's time to talked about last basic makeup parts.
Powder. Our magic dot over "i".  Ladies your more recent question is:
Loose powder or Compact? Which one is better?
Loose powder mat our faces longer but compact it's easier to hide in pource/beauty bag.
All depends what is easier for you to use. The biggest minus of Loose powder are those all boxes, where u fight to shake out more powder or they scatters to much...
Powder is not only important to mat our face but also to correct out skin tone. It's sometimes so hard to buy good foundation colour for our tone, but ladies no panic Powder can always save situation!
If you have a little bit darker foundation you should... buy 2 tones brighter powder, and if you have to bright foundation buy one tone darker powder and problem solved!

Right now a huge HIT in cosmetic market is Rice Powder
it's a prince on a white horse for all those girls who have oily, shiny face! He is not leaving impression that your face is white, he is not leaving any particular color, he just made his job - he keeps your face natural and mat. This powder is really strong and those one who have really dry skin should avoid this cosmetic.

Simply

Photo: Florian Käfmüller, Model: Lu Buro, MUA: Artmission

I remember one of those first posts I wrote here. I will never forget when I said "I remember all faces and names of model I prepared for photo shoot ". Folks it happend first time in my life - I didn't recognize a person that I wroked wiht in my past.
With Louisa, I met in Summer 2013. We made together one of underwater shoots. I remember it was super warm day, and I wasn't prepared that it will be more then 5 models...when we saw each other last time it was one week ago, we talked had some fun and made awesome beauty shots that u can see on my funpage to. We both didn't realized we had met before, untill Lu came back home and check out my webside where she saw her self! I'm telling u guys about it, because I felt bad that first time in my carrier I didn't regonize someone I worked with before. I failed. During every photo shoot I'm geting know new people, and I like to know about them something more than only name...thanks to that I feel that it's not only a new project to make it's also a chance to meet people not things, not someone who I can create from the begining in new version just a person that I can respect and like.

So folks, remember, you can chace your passion and dream but never forget about people u had met on your way, because they are helping u to get to the point u are right now or u will be one day!

Destiny

Photo: Kameleon Photography, Models: Luisa Weißflog, Selale, MUA: Artmission, (Hairstyle of Selale: Julian D), Designers: Sandra Scheer, Laura Bulla

I remember first time when I was in touch with Kameleon Photography. I didn't know her name, and background I only admired her outstanding work (www.kameleonphotography.jimdo.com).
It was maybe one year ago, and in the end we didn't make anything together because K always have so much to do :) ! One month ago, she wrote me a small message if I would like to join to her team and make some magic. Answer in that cause was so obvious!:)
When we finally met it find out that Kasia (Kameleon Ph.) comes from Poland... (like me).
It was so funny for me because for this all time we spoke in German - and I need to say even if I'm speaking in this language since almost one year- I still know how many mistakes I make during I'm using it, ( thats why in English it's always so easier for me to talk with people!) .
Make-up was simple, to keep girls in nice, smooth shape! It was really awesome day, and I love to work in team! It was with me another make-up Artist Julian Dobener. He came specialy for this one day to Berlin from Frankfurt and I need to say it was a pleasure to work with him. We share our roles, I prepared Luisa, he took care about Amelie, and we both prepared Selale - I did make-up he styled Hair. The most important job that make-up artist should do is to keep good atmosphere but also remember how to work with other people. I saw and I also experience on my own skin that if you work in one team with other make-up artist they really often avoid conversation with u, they treat this like a small competition who is better. It's so silly. Some really wise man said " Fact that you born as a human doesn't makes you a man. To be human u need act like one " it's simple philosophy but so true.
